Most customers should follow the steps below to send money with Xe.
Some customers in the UK and in Europe have access to their account on the new version of our website. If you're one of these customers, please follow these steps instead. |
To send money with Xe:
- Log in to your account and click the New Transfer button or select the New Transaction tab
- Enter your currency in the You have field, followed by the amount of this currency you’re sending
- Enter the currency you’re buying in the Currency bought field
- If you need to send a specific amount in another currency, enter this value in the Currency bought field first. The You have field will update automatically.

- Click Continue
- Choose your recipient. If you don't have an existing recipient for the currency you're buying, you'll need to or create a new recipient first and start the money transfer again.
- Enter the Payment reference and Reason for payment
- Click Continue
- Depending on how you’re paying for your transfer, the payment information will show the bank account which will be debited, the date by which we’ll need payment and the date on which we’ll send your transfer to your recipient.

Confirm your money transfer
Customers in the UK and Europe:
Some customers in the UK and in Europe have access to their account on the new version of the website. You should follow these steps to send money on the new website:

Log in to your account and click the blue Send money button
- Choose the 'Destination country' to tell us which country you're sending money to

Complete either the 'You send' or the 'Recipient gets' field:
- 'You send' is how much you're sending in your home currency

'Recipient gets' is the amount your recipient receives
Need to pay a bill or send a specific amount in another currency? Complete the 'Recipient gets' field first.
- Select your payment method and delivery option
- Choose your recipient. If you don't have any saved recipients whose currency matches that of the currency you're sending, you can add a new recipient at this stage.
- Confirm your payment method

Review your transfer details
- Click Confirm and send to get your money transfer on its way
If you're paying by bank or wire transfer, we'll share our bank details with you after you've confirmed your transfer. You'll also find them in your contract note.
