When you start a money transfer, we’ll tell you how long a similar transfer usually takes.
As you provide more information about your transfer, you’ll notice that the delivery time may change. This delivery time is an estimate which is based on the currency you’re sending, where you’re sending to and how you’re paying.
Track your transfer:
- On the Activity screen in the app, in your online account or on chat with our virtual assistant, Lexi.
Routine screening
To keep your money safe, we screen all transfers before we send them to your recipient. This process is one of our requirements as a regulated financial service provider.
This may mean that your transfer takes longer than initially expected. If we need more information from you, we'll request this by email and you'll see Action required when you track your transfer in your account online or in the app.
Choosing the fastest payment option
When you are sending money, it's worth understanding that the fastest way to pay is by card.
We can only send your money transfer after we've received your payment. Because we receive card payments almost instantly, we recommend paying by card if your transfer is urgent.
Bank transfer, direct debit and ACH are slower ways to pay. You’ll need to allow up to 4 business days for bank transfers to reach us and for direct debit payments to clear.
Delivery timescales
Once we’ve received your payment, it’s time to send your money.
Please allow 1 to 4 business days for your transfer to reach your recipient, depending on the currency and destination country of your transfer.
When we've sent your transfer, you'll find your payment confirmation in your account on Xe.com. In the Payments section, click the confirmation icon next to the transfer to view and download the document.
Delays
