Xe is experienced in international money transfers and your money is in safe hands with us. We’ll make sure it’s delivered safely to your recipient.
We know our customers want to keep tabs on their money during its journey, so we’ll send you email updates, push notifications and provide tracking features to keep your informed.
We’ll send you a confirmation email to let you know when we’ve received your funds and another when we’ve begun sending your money, so look out for those messages.
Please note: You can track the progress of your transfer via Track in the app or on our website under the Transactions tab. |
However, there are several things that may slow the progress of your money transfer to be considered before contacting us:
In this article, we’ll cover:
- Recipient details
- Payment method
- More information required
- Local business hours
- Non-domestic accounts
Recipient details
Have you got all the details correct for the person you’re sending the money to?
Small mistakes like misspelling a name or errors like giving us the wrong account number can cause problems.
You can check you’ve entered the correct recipient details by following our guide on how to edit your recipients here.
Contact us if you notice that you’ve made an error with your recipient’s details so we can get your money moving as soon as possible.
Payment method
Using a credit or debit card (if available) is the quickest way to pay us. This typically takes just minutes and we can then send your transfer on to your recipient.
When you pay us by bank transfer, Direct Debit, ACH or similar, how fast we can send it depends on if there are any delays in your bank depositing the money in our account.
More information required
Sometimes we need to make additional security checks and that can slow things down. Check your email inbox, as well as the Track screen if you're using the app, for any requests from us for further information.
We may ask for proof of ID, source of funds or the legal documentation for changes to details. You can upload copies of these in the app.
Local business hours
Some currencies are available to transfer 7 days a week (subject to change) and others are currently only available during local business hours.
That means it may take longer for a currency to arrive if you send money near the end of a business day, public holiday or at the weekend.
Non-domestic accounts
Sending money to an account where the currency is not the national currency of that bank may take longer, such as sending USD to a USD bank account in China.
