Fraudsters impersonating Xe can copy our logo and our language, but they can't copy how we actually operate. Knowing what we'd never ask you to do is one of the fastest ways to spot a scam — whatever channel it arrives on.

We will never ask for your password or a security code

Your password, security answers, and one-time codes are yours alone. We will never ask you to share them, by phone, email, text, or any other channel. These exist specifically to keep your account safe — sharing them with anyone, including someone claiming to be Xe, puts your account at risk.

We will never ask you to move money to a "safe account"

This is one of the most common fraud tactics. A fraudster may claim your account has been compromised, your money is at risk, or an investigation requires you to move funds temporarily. We don't protect your money this way, and no legitimate organisation does. If anyone asks you to move money to keep it safe, stop and verify independently.

We will never ask you to install remote access software

Fraudsters often ask victims to install remote desktop or screen-sharing software so they can control the device directly. We will never ask you to install this kind of software or give anyone remote access to your device.

We will never ask you to ignore a warning or hide a payment's purpose

Be cautious of anyone who tells you to ignore a warning from your bank or from us, misrepresent what a payment is for, or keep a transaction secret. We encourage transparency and independent verification — we'd never ask you to avoid either.

We will never pressure you to decide immediately

A genuine Xe representative will always give you time to ask questions, verify who you're speaking to, and check independently if you want to. Pressure to act immediately is a warning sign, whoever it comes from.
