Our Currency Data API packages allow you to select the package with the frequency of rate updates and the number of API rate requests you need per month. Additional features allow you to customise your package by including extra capabilities to meet your specific needs.

What should I consider when choosing a package?
The main considerations are the rate frequency you'd like and the number of rate requests you expect to make each month.
- Rate frequency tells you how often you'll receive an updated rate via the API.
- Requests are the number of rate requests you can make to the API in a given period.
How do you count requests, and what happens if I exceed my limit?
Each rate returned from the API counts toward your monthly package limit. For example, converting from CAD to EUR, CAD to GBP and then CAD to USD would count as three rate requests.
As you approach your monthly limit, you’ll receive automated email alerts at 75%, 90%, and 100% of your allowance.
Once you reach 100%, the API will stop returning rates and you’ll receive an error notification.
When and how will I be billed?
Subscriptions are normally billed annually, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis. Payment for the full 12-month term is required in advance at the start of your subscription period.
We accept credit and debit cards for packages under $1,200 per year. For higher-value packages, wire transfers are also accepted. Wire payments for subscriptions under $1,200 per year carry a 3% fee and are available upon request.
To simplify renewals, we automatically charge the card stored on your account.
Enhancing your package with additional features
Additional features allow you to customise and enhance your package. For example, if you choose the Lite package but would prefer live rates, you might choose to buy the Live rates add-on.
