Set up your first transfer

Follow the steps below to send your first transfer.

Start your transfer

• Log in to your Xe account on the app or on the website
• Click the blue 'Send money' button

Add transfer details

The currency conversion step

• Choose the 'Destination country' to tell us which country you're sending money to
• Complete either the 'You send' or the 'Recipient gets' field:
  • 'You send' is how much you're sending in your home currency
  • 'Recipient gets' is the amount your recipient receives
• Need to pay a bill or send a specific amount in another currency? Complete the 'Recipient gets' field first

Choose how to pay

• Time sensitive transfer? The fastest way to pay is by debit or credit card

Choose how your money is delivered

• You can always send money to your recipient's bank account
• If available, you'll also have the option to arrange a cash pickup or send to a mobile wallet

Add your recipient

• Pay an existing recipient or add someone new
• Please note: you'll only see recipients if their account is in the same currency as the currency you're sending. Learn more.

Add transfer details

• Let us know the reason for your transfer
• You can add a payment reference at this stage too

Pay for your transfer

• If you're paying by bank transfer, we'll send you a transfer confirmation email with our bank details in
• You'll be able to make payment when this email hits your inbox

Review and send

• Give your transfer one final check; let's get your money on

Set up your next transfer

Follow these steps if you’ve sent money with us before.

Start your transfer

• Log in to your Xe account using the app or website
• Click the blue “Send money” button

Add your recipient

• Choose to pay an existing recipient, add a new one
  • Existing recipients: their currency and destination country populate automatically
  • New recipients:
    • Choose the delivery method (bank account, cash pickup or mobile wallet)
    • Choose who you're sending to (yourself, someone else or a business)
    • Enter the recipient’s currency and destination country

  • “You send” = the amount you are sending in your home currency
  • “Recipient gets” = the amount your recipient will receive
• If you need to send a specific amount in another currency or pay a bill, complete the “Recipient gets” field first

• Let us know the reason for your transfer and add an optional payment reference

Choose how to pay

• For time-sensitive transfers, the fastest payment method is debit or credit card
• If paying by bank transfer, we'll email our bank account details to you. Complete payment once the email's arrived. 

Review and send

• Review your transfer details one final time, then confirm and send your money
