Protecting your account from fraud is a shared job. Xe uses a range of measures to help spot suspicious activity, and you play a part too — here's what we do, and what's still down to you.
We verify who's using your account
We check customer information and documentation to help make sure accounts are being used by the people who own them.
We monitor transactions
We monitor transfers for patterns and behaviour that may indicate fraud or financial crime. Where something looks unusual, we may ask you additional questions before a transfer goes ahead.
We investigate suspicious activity
If we spot something that looks wrong, our specialist teams review the account activity involved and decide whether further action is needed.
We help you learn to spot scams
Our fraud and security Help Centre content is designed to help you recognise a scam before it costs you anything. Awareness is one of the most effective protections there is, alongside the checks we run.
What we can't do
No fraud-prevention system can stop every scam. Whatever checks we run, it's still important to independently verify who you're paying, any investment opportunity, and any payment request before you send money — see "How do I check a request is genuine?" for how.
