Here’s how the refer a friend programme works:

Head to the Xe app to copy and share your promo code with friends and family
They enter the promo code when they register with Xe or when they send money
Once they’ve sent $/€/£ 1000 (or currency equivalent) or more, you’ll both receive a $/€/£ 25 gift card by email

Here’s how the first-time transfer promotion works:

Enter the promo code FIRST20 when making your first transfer in the Xe app
Transfer $/€/£ 1000 or more in one go to receive a $/€/£ 20 reward
We'll email you your gift card within 14 business days of your qualifying transfer.

Who can take part?

Customers in the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and some countries in Europe* can take part in the refer a friend programme and the first-time transfer promotion.

Which currencies can I transfer to qualify?

You can transfer Canadian dollars, US dollars, Australian dollars, New Zealand dollar, Euros or British pounds to any other currency.

Where can I find my referral code?

You'll find your refer a friend promo code in the Xe app. Just log in and click the gift icon in the top right-hand corner to copy your code and share it with friends.

What reward will we receive?

For the refer a friend programme, you and the person you refer will receive a $/€/£ £25 gift card by email.

For the first-time transfer promotion, you’ll receive a $/€/£ 20 gift card when you send $/€/£ 1000 in one go. The qualifying amount must be sent in one transfer.

You can use the gift card at different retailers – the choice is yours!

Can I combine the refer a friend and first-time transfer promotions?

No, you can't. You'll only be able to use the promo code for one of these promotions on your first order.

Does my referred friend need to send $/€/£ 1000 in one go?

No - your friend can make multiple transfers totaling $/€/£ 1000.

Your friend just needs to enter the promo code once – either when they register for an account or when they first send money. We link the promo code they enter to the person who referred them and, once they’ve completed transfers totaling $/€/£ 1000, you’ll both receive your reward.

To qualify for a reward as part of the first-time transfer promotion, the qualifying amount must be sent in one transfer.

When will we receive our reward?

Within 14 working days of your friend making a qualifying transfer. We’ll email you when you qualify so that you know you can expect your reward.

How do I claim my reward?

You’ll receive your reward by email. Just click the link and choose the retailer you’d like to use your reward with.

It’s been 14 working days since I qualified and I’ve not received my reward yet

The first thing to do is to check your spam / junk folder.

If your gift card’s not there, please contact us sharing:

Your name and email address
Your friend's name and email address (refer a friend programme only)
The date the qualifying transfer was made

I used to share a referral link to refer friends, what will happen to this?

Your referral code replaces the link, so you won’t need it anymore.
