Contact us if you need to change your recipient details before your money transfer has been sent. Once your transfer’s been sent, we can’t make any changes to your transfer.
What happens if I've sent money to the wrong recipient?
If you sent money to the wrong recipient, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll speak to the receiving bank and ask them to return the money. This is called a recall request.
If you know the recipient, you might want to contact them and ask them to return the money to you - but only if you feel safe doing so.
We rely on the recipient bank when we make a recall request. This means that we can’t guarantee that the payment will be returned; the recipient bank needs the recipient’s approval to grant us a debit authority to recall the funds.
