Configuring your settings in Business Central
Whether you’re starting a free trial or purchasing a package, you’ll need to enter your Account ID and API Key when you configure your settings in Business Central.
You’ll find your Account ID and API Key in the API Credentials section of your Xe Dashboard. From there, you can add them to your Business Central platform.
Enabling Xe Currency Data in Business Central
Once you’ve configured your settings, you then need to enable Xe Currency Data so that you can use it as your exchange rate provider in Business Central. To do this:
-
Click the drop down next to Xe Currency Data and choose Xe Exchange Rate Service
-
In Xe Currency Data, toggle on Enable
-
Review and accept the Terms and conditions
-
You’ll now be asked to set up a job queue for daily exchange rate updates
-
If you click Yes, the job queue will open
-
Adjust how frequently you want exchange rates to auto-update by changing the timeframe in the Job Timeout field. Any changes you make will save automatically.
-
Click Preview to see a list of currencies
| Please note: If you enable more than one exchange rate service, one service may override the other. This could cause problems with the data you receive. |
